Okami is, without a shadow of a doubt, my most favourite game of all times.
The rendering of Amaterasu in her true form is just amazingly well done. Of course, I'm sure many will correct me that "this is Shiranui" but if they actually played through the entire game, they would be wrong.
Shiranui was the name those of Kamiki Village gave her. The form you see "Shianui" in is actually the true form of the Sun Goddess Amaterasu (IE: will every brush technique in her possession).
Still don't believe me? Then perhaps you should play through the entire game ^_^ you will be in for a treat and one very heartfelt ending

I ALSO recommend Okamiden, which is the second game that takes place 9 months after the events in Okami
